July 28, 2015 - MTC

Dear Family and Friends,

We have gotten over the hump, only a few more weeks at the MTC. I really do not mind it here and I really enjoy studying and learning so much. However, cabin fever is a very real thing here. We never go anywhere or see anything different than our classroom and resident walls. A side effect of cabin fever is thinking every little thing is so hilarious. The other day, Elder Cole laughed so hard at the dumbest joke whilst eating carrots and the carrots went right up his sinuses. And five hours later he sneezed them all out. Funniest thing that has happened all week, when normally that would just be painful.

I take much comfort in the fact that we will only write three more group emails while being at the MTC. After that they will all be from Taiwan.

We got a bunch of new Mandarin Missionaries to replace the districts that left a few weeks ago. It is amazing how much Chinese they don't know right now but will learn so fast. I have memorized the first vision and attempted to write it in traditional Chinese style writing... I will attach a photo of my attempt...

My tender mercy for the week is seeing three of my best friends in the whole world all at once. Elder Peterson, Hansen and Perry. I even got the chance to sit next to Elder Bridger Peterson during choir and Sunday devotional. We talked non stop and had a grand old time. I love seeing them and will love seeing them for the next few weeks. Well I love you all and hope you are doing well I hope to hear from you soon.

Love, Wen Zhang Lao
