Dear Family and Friends,
This week we dedicated ourselves to work hard and try and have a better week than the last.
We spent a lot of time contacting and finding, and seemed to get a lot of people who were willing to talk. Unfortunately all of them, as we followed up, said they didn't have time, and/or interest in learning more.
We were definitely disappointed and it came down to Sunday night and we had no new investigators. I was so upset thinking that we had worked so hard and still no one new investigators to bring unto the gospel. We had one last lesson set up for 8:00pm and the week would be over. His name is Brother Wong and he was this week's miracle. He came and was so prepared! We said a prayer with him. It was his first time praying and he responded with "That felt good".
It amazes me that someone can go their whole life without thinking to talk to their Heavenly Father. He accepted a baptismal goal for February 20! I am so excited to work with him and help along this path!
This week was just really empty besides that, but it made every second of hard work worth it just to meet someone like Brother Wong.
Funny story for the week also involves him. My companion and another set of Elders decided to give Brother Wong an English name... What name did they choose... Rob. None of them knew that was my name! So our new golden investigator and I have the same name. I am actually just mostly flattered to have someone named after me.
The lesson learned this week is best explained by my good friend Elder Moore. "If it hurts... It works"
Answers to the weekly questions.
• How is your foot?
It healed so fast!
I was so lucky that it wasn't a lot worse
• Tell us what you and Elder Coleman do that is fun.

I think missionary fun is very different than everyone else's fun because our lives are pretty boring for a good portion of the time. So we just laugh at rejections and try to laugh with the people on the streets.

We rode our bikes a lot. We got an invitation from our zone leaders to "Smile and Wave boys"
if the person stops or smiles and waves we must go back and talk to them. So that was one way we found some cool people!
I love you all,
Sincerely Elder Erwin 文長老
